Why did you choose to attend LSU?
While I was born into a Tigers family, going to LSU wasn’t in the forefront of my mind. But, after attending Scholars Weekend, I was absolutely blown away by the resources and opportunities within the Honors College and with the Stamps Scholarship. Without a doubt, those opportunities are what sold me on LSU.

What does receiving the Stamps Scholarship mean to you and your family?
Receiving the Stamps Scholarship means having many academic and enrichment opportunities without worrying about the financial burden that those opportunities often carry with them. It allows for the unrestricted exploration of academic interests, which is priceless.

How has your enrollment in the Honors College enhanced your LSU experience?
The Honors College allows students of all backgrounds and interests to come together with their shared passion for learning and making a difference in the world. Having the opportunity to be around students like that consistently helps motivate me and helps make LSU and the Honors College like home.

What are your future career aspirations?
Currently, I’ve been thinking about going into the field of psychology with a focus on neuroscience. Right now, the connection between psychology and neuroscience on the molecular level is very vague. I’m hoping that the gap between the two subjects can be bridged to help give us a better, more concrete understanding of psychology, which would lead to better forms of clinical therapy.

Tell me about a fellow Stamps Scholar or an Honors College faculty or staff member who has made a difference during your time here at LSU.
Forge Mathes has been extremely helpful in my transition to LSU. We had coffee together the weekend after moving in and just talked about a range of things revolving around life at LSU and in general. It was awesome and very indicative of the community built by the Stamps Scholars.
