Why did you choose to attend LSU?
During my college search, I looked for a big university with a strong academic program coupled with school spirit and research opportunities. LSU is all that and more! I love going to a big university with the benefits of a small honors community. The chance to begin research in a lab of my interest first semester freshman year is an unbelievable opportunity!

What extracurricular programs are you involved in?
I am a new member of the Delta Gamma sorority at LSU and an undergraduate researcher in Dr. Spielmann’s Kinesiology lab. I also plan to join some intramural sports teams when the league begins.

What is your proudest accomplishment at LSU so far, and what goals do you have for the remainder of your time at LSU?
While I have only been at LSU for a few months, the aspect of already joining a research lab is very exciting for me, and I am proud to have received the position. I hope to continue to learn through the lab and eventually write my own research paper to be published.

What are your future career aspirations?
My goal is to attend Physician Assistant Graduate School to become a pediatric physician assistant in the hospital setting. I hope to help treat patients and make scientific advancements in the research of cancer and genetic diseases.

What is your favorite memory as an LSU Stamps Scholar?
My favorite memory as an LSU Stamps Scholar so far has been getting to know the older scholars in my cohort. They have provided me with such great guidance with research and my classes, and they have quickly become my friends!
