Incentive Programs

Leverage your generosity to LSU through incentives such as challenge gifts, corporate matching gift programs, and Louisiana's technology tax credit.

Challenge Gifts

A challenge gift made by a donor can encourage others to make contributions that are then matched by the challenge fund, leveraging the gifts of both the person who establishes the fund and those whose gifts are matched through it.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Many corporations offer dollar-for-dollar (or more) matching gift programs to support employees’ charitable giving. These programs allow our donors to leverage their generosity to make a greater impact in the areas of LSU that are most meaningful to them.

For example, through a 2-to-1 matching program and the LSU Foundation's current endowment spending rate (4 percent of the average five-year market value of the account), a $10,000 donor contribution combined with a $20,000 company contribution could create a $30,000 endowed scholarship with a $1,200 estimated annual distribution in perpetuity.

A searchable database of matching gift programs is available at giveLSU.org/matchinggifts.
