Rip Reeves

Rip Reeves is CEO of Institutional Investor, with oversight of its journalism, thought leadership, fintech, and global events businesses. In 2022, he retired as chief investment officer and treasurer of AEGIS Insurance Services after 11 years of service. In the 25 years preceding his role with AEGIS Insurance Services, Reeves’ professional experience encompassed portfolio management, global asset allocation, treasury, investment banking, sales/trading, and large team management. He has a bachelor’s degree in marketing and an MBA, both from LSU.

Reeves’ board leadership includes service on the Northern Trust Asset Management Board of Advisors and the Preferred Mutual Insurance Company Board of Directors. He is also a regular contributor to research publications by Institutional Investor, Clearpath Analysis, Reactions, Greenwich Roundtable, The Vision Magazine and Insurance, and Asset & Risk.
