Alexis Jones began her career at the LSU Foundation in 2022 when she was hired as
a development services coordinator. She spends her days at the School of Veterinary
Medicine reviewing data, implementing new ideas, and petting dogs that come in for
their checkups. She is a proud Warhawk, receiving her B.S. in Biology from the University
of Louisiana at Monroe in 2016. Alexis combines her background in zoological management
and non-profit operations to help propel the LSU Foundation and School of Veterinary
Medicine toward their goals.
MY LSU
Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
I chose LSU Foundation because there is nothing like working on a university campus
where creativity and innovation are encouraged.
What does a typical day look like for you?
A typical day for me includes overseeing the Grateful Client program at the School
of Veterinary Medicine and coordinating with development officers to ensure they have
the tools and resources they need to be successful in their fundraising efforts.
Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your
work.
My favorite work win so far has been receiving buy-in from our veterinarians to help
support our revamped Grateful Client program.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
The LSU Lakes are my favorite place on campus to wind down and end a hard work week.
