MY LSU

Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?

With my background in economic development, I understand the significant role education has in building a more prosperous community. The LSU Foundation provides me with the space to be creative in how our university can leverage its position as an elite research institution, and its workforce talent to be an even more valuable asset to our industry and community partners.

What does a typical day look like for you?

I love that my day is never typical! Sometimes I am in meetings, exploring a different division of the university, or building a new “could we?” idea. Whatever my day holds, the ultimate goal of my work is to collaborate and strategize with internal and external partners to find exciting opportunities for companies to engage across campus.

Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your work.

The most rewarding part of my work is connecting employers to their future workforce. When a student tells me they are going to work for the company that provided their scholarship funding and mentorship through college, I immediately feel the impact of creating the vehicle for that relationship between the student and the company.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

Patrick F. Taylor Hall (PFT), home of the College of Engineering, is one of the most interesting places on campus. Whether it is touring one of the many unique undergraduate labs, watching the students’ Bengal Bot Brawl, or hearing the students present their capstone design projects, the innovative energy is palpable in PFT.
