MY LSU

Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?

After working several years in the legal field, I felt like it was time for a career change. I knew I wanted to do something in the non-profit sector, so when I found out LSU was about to embark on a $1.5B campaign, as a proud LSU alumna, I was so excited to be a part of that history. I am still just as enthusiastic to be part of this team every day.

What does a typical day look like for you?

No day is typical, but most days, I can be found prepping for a meeting with a development officer, fielding a question/scenario, or sorting through data in a spreadsheet. The breadth of the work we do in Prospect Development keeps it interesting.

Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your work.

It’s sometimes hard to feel like you are making a huge impact as a central office employee and that your on-campus partners are the real impact drivers. However, I feel a real impact from the behind-the-scenes work that Prospect Development does. We have a lot of tools to help us use data to drive decisions, and it’s really nice to drive that impact. Whether we’re creating documents for regional leadership, planning travel, or using other tools created and used by Prospect Development to drive best practices.

Where is your favorite place on campus?

My favorite places on campus are cliché, but quintessential. It’s either the parade grounds or Mike the Tiger’s habitat. I love bringing my girls to visit Mike the Tiger, and the parade grounds were a spot I’d love to lay out and study during college. It’s also a great place to be around people.
