MY LSU

Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
After graduating with my degree in digital media, I knew I wanted to use my skills and passions for social media and content strategy to help brands communicate their “why” effectively, and my role at the LSU Foundation allows me to channel these passions beyond what I envisioned. At the LSU Foundation, I get the opportunity to tell the story of why we do what we do in a deeply meaningful, impactful way.

What does a typical day look like for you?
I usually start my day by saying good morning to Ms. Debra at the front desk and my fellow Marcom colleagues as I make my way to my cubicle. Before tackling my tasks for the day, I do my “morning routine” which consists of responding to emails, checking our social media accounts, and reviewing our daily media/press reports. Once that’s complete, I grab a cup of coffee (in my favorite mustard yellow mug) and settle into whatever the day holds! Typically, you can find me in my cubicle creating social media reports, writing content, and meeting with my colleagues on different communications projects.

Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your work.
Even though I had only been at the Foundation for three months at the time of experiencing my very first LSU Giving Day, it was a day I’ll never forget! As the lead for our social pages, it felt extra special because I got to see the various campuses, units, donors, students, parents, and friends all come together online to be champions for LSU. Witnessing our first-ever social media challenge gift get unlocked by 10 a.m. showed me first-hand what impact looks like here at LSU.

Where is your favorite place on campus?
While I’m not an alumna of LSU, this campus has always had a special place in my heart – particularly Tiger Stadium where my husband and I had our first date and where he proposed six years later! I’m so blessed to now be working right across from the spot where these special memories were made.
