My LSU
Why did you choose to build a career with the LSU Foundation?
I was drawn to the LSU Foundation because of its commitment to advancing LSU’s mission
through philanthropy. The opportunity to combine my passion for strategic marketing
with fundraising efforts that directly impact students, faculty, and research initiatives made this role an exciting and meaningful
career move. Being part of a team that fosters lasting donor relationships and supports
the university’s growth is incredibly fulfilling.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Each day is a mix of strategy, creativity, and collaboration. I analyze donor data,
develop fundraising campaigns, oversee email and direct mail appeals, and work closely with colleagues across campus to ensure
our efforts align with LSU’s philanthropic goals. Whether it's planning Giving Day, brainstorming new donor engagement strategies, or evaluating campaign performance,
my work is always centered around fostering meaningful connections between donors
and the university.
Tell us about your favorite work win or moment when you truly felt the impact of your
work.
One of my most rewarding moments was seeing the success of a targeted giving campaign
that helped fund scholarships for students with financial hardships. Knowing that
our efforts directly contributed to students continuing their education without financial
barriers reinforced why this work matters. Seeing tangible results from our fundraising
initiatives is always a reminder of the power of philanthropy.
Where is your favorite place on campus?
There’s something special about the stately oaks and broad magnolias that make LSU’s campus
feel timeless. If I had to choose, I’d say the area near the LSU Memorial Tower—it’s a peaceful yet iconic space that reminds me of the university’s history and the community
it fosters.
