Chris Carlton
Chris Carlton has more than 30 years of experience in commercial real estate, both as a practicing lawyer and a transaction and development professional. Chris spent six years practicing commercial real estate and corporate transactional law prior to exiting private practice and focusing his efforts as an investment principal. His professional experience includes acquisition and asset management roles at Goddard Investment Group, where he was directly involved in the acquisition of more than 18 office properties and the disposition of 28 properties. Since co-founding Keel Funds in 2012, Chris and his partners have accumulated and investment managed assets of more than $150 million in value, and currently manages real estate, marina and private equity investments with an asset value of over $80 million. He graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor of Science in finance and later received his law degree with a concentration in real estate and corporate law from Emory University School of Law. He is on the LSU E.J. Ourso College of Business Dean’s Board, as well as a board member and past board president of the Samaritan Counseling Center of Atlanta. Chris was born and raised in Baton Rouge, La., and has resided in Atlanta for the past 33 years. He and his wife have three grown daughters with their first granddaughter due in December.
