My LSU Giving Story

What is your favorite memory involving LSU?
My first LSU football game.

What makes LSU unique?
The culture. We work hard and we play hard.

Why do you support LSU?
Education changed my life in so many ways. It represents the main focus of my charitable giving of both time and money. When I reflect on my LSU experiences, I am reminded of what a great learning institution it is, and I want to help it become even greater. I want to help make a life-changing LSU experience available to others.

If someone asked you why he/she should make a gift to LSU, what would you say?
LSU remains one of the most cost-effective, high quality educational institutions in our country. We should all be proud of its success and happy to invest in the future of organizations like LSU.

What is your vision for LSU, and how do you think philanthropy can drive that vision?
As an Ourso College graduate, my vision is for LSU’s business school to go beyond what it has accomplished and increase its national and international recognition. To achieve this will take increased funding to attract and retain top faculty and students.

What motivated you to accept our invitation to be an inaugural member of the LSU Foundation National Board?
My wife and I, and other members of our family, owe much of our success in life to our LSU educations. We all feel a strong sense of pride and gratitude toward LSU and are happy to help in any way we can.

What most excited you about being part of the National Board?
It gives me another opportunity to give back to LSU and be a part of its future growth and success.
