My LSU Giving Story
What is your favorite memory involving LSU?
My favorite memory is my first visit to Tiger Stadium when the Tiger Band began to
play.
What makes LSU unique?
There is an energy and enthusiasm around LSU that is special.
Why do you support LSU?
Two of my sons and one of my daughters-in-law are alumni. I have come to know LSU
to be a very special place.
If someone asked you why he/she should make a gift to LSU, what would you say?
Your gift to LSU will make a difference in the life of the university, its community,
and especially its students.
What is your vision for LSU, and how do you think philanthropy can drive that vision?
LSU will be a be a premier public university when objectively measured against performance
outcomes of other leading universities. In today's world of higher ed economics, this
vision cannot happen without generous philanthropic support.
What motivated you to accept our invitation to be an inaugural member of the LSU Foundation
National Board?
I have been engaged with LSU, particularly the College of Music & Dramatic Arts, for
more than two decades. Participation on the National Board is a logical extension
of that involvement.
What most excited you about being part of the National Board?
I’m most excited about the opportunity to help make a difference and achieve the vision.
