Mark K. Anderson

Mark K. Anderson of Monroe, Louisiana, is an alumnus of LSU, where he earned a bachelor's degree in general studies in 1978 and was a member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity.

Anderson is owner of Mid South Extrusion, a blown film extrusion company in Monroe, Louisiana. He has two children.

Anderson is a member of Young Presidents' Organization. He served as chairman of the LSU Foundation Board of Directors from 2003-04.

 
 

My LSU Giving Story

What is your favorite memory involving LSU?
My favorite memory is probably when I was asked to be an LSU Foundation board member. 

What makes LSU unique?
All the different cultures. 

Why did you choose to attend LSU?
My parents were LSU graduates and very involved with LSU throughout my life. 

Why do you support LSU?
I want to give back to the school that helped me be successful. 

If someone asked you why he/she should make a gift to LSU, what would you say?
A gift will help attract the best students and professors. 

What is your vision for LSU, and how do you think philanthropy can drive that vision?
Philanthropy will help continue to make LSU an elite university. 

What motivated you to join the LSU Foundation Board of Directors?
I was motivated to give back!
