Milford “Mike” Wampold III
Milford “Mike” Wampold III of Baton Rouge, La., earned a bachelor’s degree in general studies from LSU’s General College in 1976. He holds the Certified Commercial Investment Member designation from the Commercial Real Estate Investment Institute. As chairman and CEO of Wampold Companies, which he founded and owns, Wampold is directly responsible for the direction and growth of the company. He oversees strategic corporate planning, corporate financing and new project development. He has been involved in the development, construction, renovation, ownership and management of real estate holdings for over 30 years. Notable Baton Rouge development projects include Shaw Plaza (currently Aptim) office building, Crescent at University Lake Condominiums, Bayonne at Southshore apartments, I & II City Plaza office buildings and the Renaissance and Watermark Hotels. He has also developed projects throughout Louisiana, Texas and Florida.
Wampold is a member and former director of numerous industry and civic organizations and has served on many boards, including for the Baton Rouge Business Bank, LSU Tiger Athletic Foundation, Baton Rouge Good Growth Coalition, BREC Foundation, Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Make a Wish Foundation and Woman’s Hospital.
