Sarah Borders
Sarah Borders of Atlanta earned a bachelor’s degree in business from LSU’s E. J. Ourso College of Business in 1984. She also holds a legal degree from the University of Virginia School of Law. Borders is a partner with King & Spalding, for which she has led both the financial restructuring and real estate practice groups. Her practice spans infrastructure, real estate, energy, healthcare, manufacturing, retail, restaurant, hospitality and transportation, among other industries. She is a former law clerk for the late Judge Henry A. Politz of the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals and a Fellow and former regent of the American College of Bankruptcy.
Borders has been recognized as a leading restructuring lawyer by Chambers USA, Best
Lawyers in America, Who’s Who in Restructuring and Insolvency, Law Dragon and The
Deal and is a member of the Homer W. Drake Inn of Court. She serves on the Ourso College
of Business Dean’s Advisory Council and on the Board of Trustees for the University
of Virginia School of Law’s Law School Foundation. She is active in the Atlanta community,
including through service as a member of Leadership Atlanta and on the board of directors
of BrandBank Holding Corporation, Action Ministries, Inc., the Woodruff Arts Center
Alliance Theatre and Georgia Women of Achievement.
