Terre H. Allen

Dr. Terre H. Allen received her PhD in interpersonal communication from LSU in 1990. Dr. Allen is an emerita professor of communication studies at California State University, Long Beach. Additionally, she served for 13 years as executive director of faculty development at California State University, Long Beach.

Nationally, Dr. Allen has received recognition and awards for her faculty development work in transforming historically low completion rate courses across her university’s curriculum. Dr. Allen and her husband, Scott Allen, founded LSU’s Allen Family Scholarship to support underrepresented undergraduate students pursuing a degree in theatre.
